Loh Mei Mei, Teh Hooi Woon and Elisa Nadia Omar of ZUL RAFIQUE & partners’ Banking & Finance and Energy & Utilities team acted as solicitors in relation to the Unrated Islamic medium term notes programme of up to MYR682.5 million established by Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd (“Dayang”).

The Unrated Islamic medium term notes programme of up to MYR682.5 million in nominal value under the Shariah principle of Murabahah (via Tawarruq arrangement) is established by Dayang and arranged by Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd for part financing of the settlement (which shall include the principal and profit/interest amount due) for certain specified financing facilities of Dayang and its group of companies. The deal structure includes an Al-Kafalah facility granted by Danajamin Nasional Berhad to Dayang.

This deal is part of Dayang's group-wide debt restructuring exercise, which includes, among others, a proposed private placement and proposed rights issue exercise.
