Kuala Linggi International Port (KLIP), an industrial port development in Malaysia, inked an agreement with CCCC Dredging Southeast Asia for dredging and land reclamation of a 620 acre island off the coast of Malacca.


Our Partners, Lukman Sheriff Alias and Michele J Chong, from Zul Rafique & Partners’ Energy & Utilities practice group have advised and acted for Linggi Base Sdn Bhd, the developer of the Kuala Linggi International Port, in relation to an agreement with CCCC Dredging Southeast Asia for dredging and land reclamation of a 620 acre island off the coast of Malacca.

The agreement worth RM800 million was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition 2023 and is expected to commence by the third quarter of this year.
